第二届粒子物理实验径迹重建研讨会

在粒子物理实验中,带电粒子的径迹重建是事例重建中最关键也是最复杂的部分,其对顶点重建、粒子鉴别的效率和精度等有着直接的影响,在实验预研阶段是探测器设计和优化的重要参考指标。随着粒子物理实验不断向更高能量、更高亮度和更复杂环境发展,径迹重建在高堆积、高本底环境下以及新的物理目标下面临着前所未有的挑战。
为总结国内外粒子物理实验(如BESIII、ATLAS、CMS、BELLE II、LHCb等)在径迹重建方面的经验,加强不同实验间径迹重建方法和技术的交流与合作,探讨现有和未来粒子物理实验中径迹重建的难点及解决方案,继第一届粒子物理实验径迹重建研讨会(郑州),中国科学院近代物理研究所将于2025年7月21日-23(7月21日报到)在惠州举办第二届粒子物理实验径迹重建研讨会 。本次会议由中国科学院近代物理研究所、郑州大学、中科院高能物理研究所、山东大学、中山大学、清华大学,中国科学技术大学等单位联合举办。

In particle physics experiments, the reconstruction of charged particle trajectories is the most crucial and complex part of event reconstruction. It directly impacts the efficiency and precision of vertex reconstruction, particle identification, and serves as a key reference for detector design and optimization during the experimental R&D phase. With particle physics experiments advancing towards higher energy, higher luminosity, and more complex environments, trajectory reconstruction faces unprecedented challenges in high pileup, high background conditions, and under new physics objectives.

To summarize the experiences in trajectory reconstruction from both domestic and international particle physics experiments (such as BESIII, ATLAS, CMS, BELLE II, LHCb, etc.), enhance the exchange and collaboration of trajectory reconstruction methods and technologies across different experiments, and explore the challenges and solutions for trajectory reconstruction in current and future particle physics experiments, the Second Workshop on Trajectory Reconstruction in Particle Physics Experiments will be held by the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Huizhou from July 21 to 23, 2025 (on-site registration on July 21) , following the first Workshop on Trajectory Reconstruction in Particle Physics Experiments held in Zhengzhou. This workshop is jointly organized by the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Zhengzhou University, the Institute of High Energy Physics (CAS), Shandong University, Sun Yat-sen University, Tsinghua University, and the University of Science and Technology of China.
