To facilitate your local travel, we will arrange buses from/to the two airports of Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport during the daytime, please let us know your travel data (arrival/departure dates and flights numbers etc.) at your earliest conveniences. In case you want/have to come to the IMP Huizhou campus by yourself, please refer to the local transportation information below. It will be helpful to use DiDi Ride-Hailing Services of Alipay and WeChat if you want to call a taxi.
If you decide to take a taxi to the venue, please print and present the following to the driver:
“师傅您好！请送我到惠州市惠城区河南岸新桥北路1号（中国科学院近代物理研究所惠州研究部）。谢谢！”
"Hello, could you please take me to No.1 Xinqiao North Road, Henanan Block, Huicheng District, Huizhou City (Huizhou Research Department of Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences)? Thank you."
Kind reminder: 1, it may be difficult to call a taxi from the above mentioned two airports to the Huizhou campus at night. 2, we recommend you to pay the driver via mobil payment such as the Weixin pay which is now available for Non-Chinese citizens . By Plane
Below is information about convenient airports for reaching the campus (IMPCAS, Huizhou : 中国科学院近代物理研究所惠州研究部):
A. Huizhou Pingtan Airport: This domestic airport serves the city of Huizhou and is located in the town of Pingtan, Haiyang District. It is approximately 30 kilometres away from the campus. It will cost approx. CNY 80 and take 40 minutes if you take a taxi.
B. Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport: Situated on the east bank of the Pearl River in Bao'an District, this airport is approximately 110 kilometres away from the campus, with an estimated travel time of about 2 hours by a taxi.
From the Shenzhen airport, one can either take the taxi, that will cost CNY 200 - 400 (Need additional pay for highway ~ CNY 50), or follow the route:
Take a taxi from Shenzhen airport to Luohu Bus station (cost CNY ~100), then take a bus from Luohu Bus station to Huizhou Coach Terminal (cost CNY ~80), then take a taxi from Huizhou Coach Terminal to reach the campus 中国科学院近代物理研究所惠州研究部 (cost CNY ~20).
C. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport: Located around 160 kilometres away from the campus, it takes approximately 2.5 hours to reach the campus from this airport by car.
From the Guangzhou airport, one can either take the taxi, that will cost CNY 300 - 500 (Need additional pay for highway ~ CNY 90), or follow the route:
Take a taxi from Guangzhou airport to Tianhe Bus station (cost CNY ~75), then take a bus from Tianhe Bus station to Huizhou Coach Terminal (cost CNY ~70), then take a taxi from Huizhou Coach Terminal to reach the campus 中国科学院近代物理研究所惠州研究部 (cost CNY ~20).
D. Hong Kong International Airport: Approximately 130 kilometres away from the campus. Transportation options include:
(i) Take the subway to West Kowloon Station, then a train to Huizhou Station, followed by a taxi or bus to the campus.
(ii) Take a ferry to Shenzhen, then a taxi or bus to Shenzhen Train Station, followed by a train to Huizhou Station, and finally a taxi or bus to the campus.
Note: Please check visa requirements for Hong Kong from your country before scheduling your trip via Hong Kong.
By train
The city is served by two mainline railway stations situated near the downtown area: Huizhou Railway Station, Huizhou North Railway Station, and Huizhou South Railway Station..
A. Huizhou North Railway Station (惠州北站), Baishi Road, Huicheng District (惠城区白石路). Serves high-speed trains, about 26 kilometres far from the campus.
From the Huizhou North Railway Station, one can take the taxi, that will cost approx. CNY 60.
B. Huizhou Railway Station (惠州站), 57 Huizhou Avenue, Huicheng District (惠城区惠州大道57号). Serves regular-speed trains, about 19 kilometres far from the campus.
From the Huizhou Railway Station, one can take the taxi, that will cost approx. CNY 45.
C. Huizhou South Railway Station (惠州南站), Huicheng District (惠城区). Serves high-speed trains, about 9 kilometres far from the campus.
From the Huizhou South Railway Station, one can take the taxi, that will cost approx. CNY 25.
By Bus
The primary bus station, known as the Huizhou Coach Terminal, offers regular bus services to various destinations, including Guangzhou Tianhe (CNY ~65, 2 hr 30 min) and Shenzhen Luohu (CNY ~60, 1 hr 20 min), as well as to numerous other cities within the province.
