To attend the STORI'2024 conference in China, foreign nationals may need a valid visa for entry. The Chinese 15-day visa-exemption policy does not include academic activities, foreign attendees could take an F visa for entry customs.
Please consult the Chinese Consulate or Embassy in your country of origin regarding the visa application requirements. An invitation letter will be sent to your email after your registration to help with the visa application. If you need any documents from us to apply for the visa, please inform us by stori24@impcas.ac.cn.
Please plan your time accordingly as the visa application may take some time.
It is strongly recommended that participants apply for visas at least 3 months prior to the conference. The applicants should contact the Chinese consulate to determine the wait time for an interview. Additional information on gaining business visas is available at Chinese consulate or local travel agencies.
Effective on July 1, 2024 till December 31, 2025, China started to implement a unilateral visa-free policy for ordinary passport holders from 15 countries for visits up to 15 days with the purpose of Business, Tourist, Visiting families and friends, and Transit needs. This list includes countries such as Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, and others. The individuals who do not meet the above-mentioned conditions still need to apply for Chinese visa before entering China. (please see https://english.www.gov.cn/)
