The 17th international symposium on Origin of Matter and Evolution of Galaxies (OMEG2024) which will be held in Chengdu, China on September 8-13, 2024. As you may know, the symposium will be the 17th in a series being held almost every other year since 1988 to discuss the subjects of nuclear astrophysics and related fields.

Registration and Abstract submission

Registration for OMEG XVII will be available on our indico webpage from March 1. Please note that abstract submission deadline is June 30, 2024. Contributors will be informed of the decisions on oral/poster presentations in mid July.

Registration fee: 
Early bird registration fee (paid before July 31):          300 USD  
Regular registration fee:                                                   400 USD  
undergraduate and graduate students:                      220 USD 
 

The registration fees will cover the symposium reception, coffee breaks, lunch and banquet. Online payment of the registration fee will be open from March 1 to August 31. The details for payment of the registration fee will be released on the indico webpage. 
 

The registration fees can also be paid at the registration desk. The registration desk will be open at the hotel during the symposium.

Conference fee for in-person participants (including students) should be paid at the conference venue in cash.

OMEG School

OMEG XVII School for graduate students and young postdocs will be held during Sept. 2 - 6, 2024 at Peng Huanwu Collaborative Center for Research and Education, Beihang University in Beijing, hosted by Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics of China (INAC) and OMEG XVII. The school consists of the lectures by senior scientists on the current topics and the basics of nuclear astrophysics and cosmology and the student presentations based on activities with several group projects during the school. The school provides good opportunity for the participants to make presentation, discuss science and collaborate with one another in the group activities. The details will be announced on the symposium web site and in the forthcoming circular.
