Conference Poster
The TAN 23 is the seventh in the series of international conferences dedicated to recent achievements and developments in experiments and theory of the chemistry and physics of transactinide elements. The first TAN conference took place in 1999 in Seeheim near Darmstadt, Germany. Since then, the meetings of this series have been organized every 4 years, in Napa, USA (2003), in Davos, Switzer-land (2007), Sochi, Russia (2011), Urabandai, Japan (2015), Wilhelmshaven, Germany(2019).
The conference will take place in Huizhou, a beautiful city of Guangdong province of southeast China. At the present, Institute of Modern Physics is constructing two large-scale scientific facilities in Huizhou, High Intensity Heavy-ion Accelerator Facility (HIAF) and China initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS). The new facilities will enable scientists to continue to push the frontiers of science and technology, for the benefit of all. The scientific program of this conference will cover experimental and theoretical aspects of synthesis of the superheavy elements, nuclear reactions, nuclear structure, chemistry, atomic properties, and related topics.
Scope
The scientific program will cover experimental and theoretical aspects of the superheavy elements synthesis, nuclear reactions, nuclear structure, chemistry, atomic properties, and related topics. The program will consist of invited talks, oral presentations selected on the basis of submitted abstracts, and poster contributions.
All topics in the scope of this conference will be discussed and we ask for submission of contributions. Especially welcome are contributions on the following topics on heaviest elements from both experimental and theory side:
* Theories and experiments of heaviest-element synthesis
* Nuclear reaction studies
* Nuclear structure and spectroscopy
* Atomic physics studies
* Chemical properties of transactinide elements
* Technical developments
* Large-scale facilities in the field of superheavy element research
The TAN 23 is organized by
* Institute of Modern Physics (IMP), Chinese Academy Sciences
* Advanced Energy Science and Technology Guangdong Laboratory
Organization/Contact
The organization of the conference will be carried out via email communication. All pertinent information will be made available on the website (see below). This includes circulars, registration, submission of contributions and the conference program.
